DescriptionThis study contributed to advancing knowledge of the mechanisms of how people with visual disabilities perceive emotions via a sense of hearing. This study offered evidence that those with different sociodemographic backgrounds tended to perceive different numbers and types of emotions. The advanced knowledge of emotion perceptions in people with visual disabilities is anticipated to ultimately contribute to better designing sociotechnical supports that adequately accommodate those with emotional challenges.
