DescriptionCognitive failure can lead to catastrophic consequences in the military where the environment is unforgiving of human error. Military personnel are required to have the ability to make correct and adaptive decisions based on unknown environments and conditions. To ensure optimal task performance, it is necessary to ensure optimal cognitive performance. This can be achieved by assessing various cognitive abilities to identify possible cognitive deficits, establish baseline performance data, and provide continuous monitoring of health. The purpose of this study is to create a customised web-based neuropsychological assessment tool with the capability of configuring specific cognitive psychological tests as well as environmental conditions for different assessment groups. This includes modifying cognitive psychological tests and enabling the creation of a military-relevant cognitive test battery. The data collected from the tool can assist in understanding the underlying causes of individual variability in the cognitive performance behaviour of military personnel.
