DescriptionStakeholders should be able to rely upon their state or District of Columbia (DC) Department of Health website to provide local pediatric COVID-19 data that includes recent trends over time and race/ethnicity. Given concerns about website usability and lack of accessibility regarding population COVID-19 data, we analyzed state/DC Department of Health websites to determine public availability of pediatric COVID-19 data including: the smallest reporting granularity; presence of counts, rates, and trends COVID-19 positive cases, hospitalizations, and deaths; and race/ethnicity information. Across all states/DC only 5.8% (3 of 51) provide trend graphs, give information for specific schools, and show race/ethnicity information. Results highlight several areas for improvement of pediatric data availability and presentation on Department of Health websites. Study limitations include the potential for website changes since the 48-hour period in which the analysis was completed.
