Biography
Dr. Kessler received her PhD. in Human Factors and Cognitive Psychology with a focus in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Central Florida (UCF). She received a M.Sc. in Modeling and Simulation and a B.Sc. in Psychology, both from UCF, as well as a B.Sc. in Marketing from Nicholls State University. Dr. Kessler investigates human trust in technology systems and human-human trust using both experimental and quasi-experimental methods, as well as meta-analyses. Her work is reflected in more than 30 professional publications, presentations, and book chapters. Dr. Kessler was a U.S. Air Force Graduate Research Fellow and a Human Factors and Ergonomic Society Emerging Leader. Dr. Kessler works at Georgia Tech Research Institute as a Research Scientist II in the Advanced Concepts Laboratory in the Intelligence Analysis Branch. Her current research interests include trust in technology, human-technology interactions, and trust in information.
