Biography
Ian Reagan is a senior research scientist at the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
Since joining the Institute in 2012, Dr. Reagan has conducted research on how drivers use and adapt to technology in vehicles. His research interests include identifying factors that influence trust, acceptance, and appropriate use of collision avoidance, driver assistance, and driving automation systems, and he also completes work to understand and limit driver distraction. Previously, he worked for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration as a research psychologist.
Dr. Reagan received a bachelor's degree and a doctorate in psychology from Old Dominion University.
