Abhraneil Dam is a second year PhD student in the Human Factors of Systems and Product Design concentration at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Abhraneil is currently working on multiple research projects involving developing a taxonomy for audio AR applications, enhancing art gallery user experience using audio and visual AR, pedestrian safety and acoustic situation awareness in VR, and motion sickness mitigation in automated vehicles. Abhraneil enjoys a challenge, rising to the occasion to meet the requirements, and the feeling of accomplishment that comes with it. He hopes to go into academia after his PhD.
