Yan Xiao is professor in College of Nursing and Health Innovation at University of Texas at Arlington. He teaches human factors and conducts research to improve patient safety. His research interests include human factors approaches to enhance partnership between patients and healthcare professionals. He contributes his patient safety and human factors expertise in the AHRQ’s technical expert panel for PSNet, in leading the scientific evaluation committee of Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation, in supporting a PSLL in dentistry.
