Dr. Gary Allread is Program Director for SRI-Ergonomics, the consulting and training branch of The Ohio State University’s Spine Research Institute. His work involves translating ergonomics and workplace biomechanics research into usable knowledge for industry. Gary manages and provides ergonomics technical assistance to industrial clients, with the focus on preventing musculoskeletal disorders across occupational work settings, including manufacturing and distribution. He received his PhD from Ohio State in 2000, where he majored in industrial ergonomics and biomechanics. Gary has published numerous articles, including several in the journals Ergonomics and Applied Ergonomics, and he is a Certified Professional Ergonomist.
