Genya Abe received his B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Mie University, Tsu, Japan, in
1997, his M.S. degree in information systems from the University of Electro Communications, Chofu, Japan in 1999, and his Doctor’s degrees in human sciences from Loughborough University, Loughborough, U.K. in 2005. Since 1999, he has been a researcher with Japan Automobile Research Institute, Tsukuba, Japan. His main research interests include understanding drivers' trust in advanced driver assistance systems and automated driving systems.
