Dr. Winnie Chen is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering focusing on human factors research. She has conducted several human subject experiments related to driving simulators and healthcare scenes. She has extensive experience working with cognitive modeling and contextual mental states with regard to distraction and user interface design. Her research interests are mainly in human perception and attention extending from theoretical models to domain-specific applications. She has worked on projects in multiple domains, including transportation, healthcare, defense, and aerospace.
