Biography
Dr. Wauck has over seven years of experience in human-computer interaction research, particularly in user-centered design and game-based cognitive assessment and training tools. Anticipating unknown unknowns and remediations for them is a critical part of her work in designing and testing user-centered game-based tools. Dr. Wauck has published at well-known human-computer interaction conferences, including the ACM Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems (CHI), the ACM Annual Symposium on Computer-Human Interaction in Play (CHI PLAY), and ACM Intelligent User Interfaces (IUI). At Smart Information Flow Technologies, Dr. Wauck has worked on the design, implementation, and evaluation of user-facing graphical IDEs, VR swarm control and game-based assessment tools, and information analysis tools for novice to expert users under the DARPA ASIST, OFFSET, MEDULLA, and AFRL Project7 programs, respectively. She is currently leading the design and implementation of user interfaces for physical activity monitoring software (NIH), map visualizations (DARPA OpenMIND), and cybersecurity tools for ONR and DARPA programs.
