Michael Bartha
Biography
Michael Bartha, Ph.D., is a Senior UX Researcher at Google Inc. leading a team of researchers conducting high-quality, rapid research for Google's YouTube product design teams. Prior to joining Google, Michael worked in various human factors, ergonomics, and UX research roles at HP Inc. Over the years, particularly during his time at HP Inc., Michael was a named author on a number of conference proceedings papers and journal articles. His publication philosophy is that, to the extent possible, industry should take an active role in supporting both academic research and disseminating their own research findings as ways to improve the quality of products designed for people and inform the profession of the topics of interest to industry. Michael completed his Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology at Rice University. He is a former Vice-chair of the ANSI/HFES 100 Standards committee, and a former board member and executive officer of the Office Ergonomics Research Committee (OERC).
