Alexander R. Hough
Biography
Dr. Alexander Hough is a Research Psychologist at the Air Force Research Laboratory working in the cognitive models branch of the 711th Human Performance Wing. Dr. Hough received an M.S. in Psychological Science and Ph.D. in Human Factors Psychology. He currently leads efforts investigating cognitive mechanisms of fatigue and analogical reasoning using the ACT-R cognitive architecture, and an effort to develop a theory and model of anticipatory thinking in humans. Dr. Hough's other interests include decision making, problem solving, coordination, situation awareness, metacognition, and individual differences (e.g., perceived proficiency, subjective cognitive effort, and motivation).
