Biography
Dr. Maury Nussbaum is a Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech. His main research is within the fields of occupational biomechanics, ergonomics, and work physiology, with primary goals of understanding and preventing work-related musculoskeletal disorders and occupational slips/trips/falls, and enhancing working efficiency. Maury's recent research has focused primarily on helping to facilitate the safe and effective adoption of occupational exoskeletons in several industry sectors. He is a fellow of the Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors, the American Industrial Hygiene Association, the Institute of Industrial Engineers, the International Ergonomics Association, and the American Society of Biomechanics.
