Joseph Y. Kim is a Concurrent Master's Student in the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering at Iowa State University. He plans on graduating in May 2022 with a B.S. and December 2022 with an M.S. in Industrial Engineering with a focus on Human Factors and Ergonomics. He currently researching for Dr. Richard Stone in the Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering Department and interning at the Kern Center with Dr. Susan Hallbeck at Mayo Clinic. After graduating, Joseph hopes to further pursue the intersection of ergonomics and healthcare, specifically surgery, by applying for M.D./Ph.D. programs.
