Kelly Dickerson
Biography
Kelly Dickerson, Ph.D. graduated from Binghamton University with a degree in Cognitive Psychology in 2012. Since then, she has held roles in basic and applied laboratories, user experience research and digital strategy, in both public and private sectors, working on products as diverse hearing protection, digital rotorcraft displays, and web-based federal benefits calculators. Dr. Dickerson is in the unique position to have worked on and observed a wide variety of implementations of ethical research practices, from fully regulated to zero regulations. As a result, she has seen firsthand how researchers, institutions, and participants navigate the often complex and diverse web of rules and regulations and feels passionately about bringing this perspective to HFES.
