Linda Angell is Angell is President and Principal Scientist at Touchstone Evaluations -- a human factors firm in Michigan. She holds a PhD (in Experimental/Cognitive Psychology) and has over 40 years of experience spanning both academic and applied positions. She worked for 27 years at General Motors, achieving the rank of Technical Fellow. Her work has focused on effective integration of advanced technology with drivers, especially in areas of driver attention and active safety. She has numerous publications, eight patents, and, in 2008, received the A.R. Lauer Safety Award from the Human Factors Society. Recent work focuses on driver behavior in automation.
