Biography
Brian D. Green, Ph.D., is the Senior Human Factors Engineer & Team Lead in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. He leads a team of human factors experts who review nuclear power plant control room designs to ensure they meet applicable human factors regulations. His team is also currently writing regulations and technical guidance to support regulatory reviews of advanced reactor technology. Dr. Green earned his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering, specializing in Human Factors in 2010 at the University at Buffalo where he studied the effects of automation reliability on human trust as well as human factors in the aviation industry.
