Biography
As a Principal Human Systems Engineer at Draper, I have seen the impact of early inclusion of human systems engineering principals and processes on systems development programs. I currently serve as the Modeling and the Human Systems Group Leader, which brings a multi-disciplinary focus to systems engineering and modeling for a variety of applications and domains. Prior to joining Draper in 2016, I earned a B.A. from Clemson University, a MSc. from the University of Edinburgh, and a Ph.D. in Information Sciences & Technology from The Pennsylvania State University. I have been a member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society since 2009 and have served on several technical committees: Cognitive Engineering and Decision Making (2017-2019); Human Robot and AI Teaming (HART), since 2019, and National Ergonomics Month since 2018. I am also a member of AIAA.
At Draper, my interests have focused on leveraging systems engineering practices for human and systems integration within complex, dynamic environments; and specifically, on the design of autonomy and AI based systems for human interaction and teaming mission in critical military and human spaceflight environments.
